The quantity of Kaolin which has been used in Paper-making industry is far more than that in other industry. Kaolin has a fine granularity, and excellent shape of squama and slice after being peeled off, and with high ratio of diameter and thickness as well as stable chemical characteristics. These can help to improve the brightness of paper, and fill the gaps between paper fibers, and also reduce the transparency of paper.

As a kind of filler, Kaolin can improve the performance of paper and reduce the cost at the same time.  As a coating, it can improve the absorption of oil ink, adaptability and its appearance.
